Guide to our Insurance

What is included:
Your online rental quotation will cover Third Party Insurance and Collision Damage Waiver. (CDW)
Third Party Liability Insurance:

The provision of Third Party Insurance is a legal obligation, so we quote it in the price. Third Party injury liability is unlimited. If you were to have an accident for which you are held responsible and someone, apart from yourself was killed or injured, the insurance ensures proper compensation is paid to the other party. It also covers the other party for their damaged vehicle or property (limited to £5,000,000). Coverage is restricted to EURO countries only.

Collision Damage Waiver CDW:
CDW covers the cost of any repairs to damage on the vehicle caused by yourself (but not on purpose) or a third party. There is an 'Excess' of £500 for which you will remain responsible. That sum can be reduced to £100 by purchasing Excess Reduction.

Conditions of our damage protection program:
By signing the front of the contract you are accepting the conditions of our Damage Protection and Insurance programme. If you have bought damage protection from us for your rental, we will not charge you the full cost for damage to our vehicle. You are only responsible for the Excess noted on the front of this contract. However we can hold you responsible for the full cost if the damage or theft has been caused by you or an approved driver when,

    • The vehicle has been used for an illegal purpose,
    • The vehicle has been overloaded,
    • Any overhead damage and damage caused by hitting overhanging objects,
    • The vehicle has been used for racing, speed testing or teaching someone to drive,
    • The vehicle has been used for carrying fare-paying passengers,
    • The vehicle has been used in a way that breaks other parts of the contract as printed on the reverse of the rental contract,
    • The vehicle has been used for a purpose for which you need an operator's licence if you do not have one,
    • The vehicle has been driven while the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs or could reasonably have been considered unfit to drive,
    • You have not taken all reasonable care of the rented vehicle when parking it or did not make sure that it is properly locked.
    • You have used the wrong fuel for the vehicle
    • The repair costs fall within your damage deposit amount.
